Many moons ago there was an artist collective that went by the name of "Deepest Blue". Their signature tune by the same name, "Deepest Blue" had a major impact in clubland and was played out anywhere and everywhere. In 2022 we happen to witness the re-emerging of one of the collective's artists, Joel Edwards set to don a new alias "Jo3L" and step back into the spotlight as an independent artist pursuing a solo career as well. His new creation has been well received due to its undeniable versatility and ideology and is out now on on "AVA Recordings", owned and operated by renowned artists "Andy Moor" and "Somna".

 "Illusion" is "Jo3L's" latest labor of love and it is undoubtedly a tune that will speak to the inner depths of your psyche. Repetitive catchy synths and subtle throbbing basslines lay at the core of this musical gem amongst a minimal use of percussion. The vocal eloquence of the singer is displayed in a grand way here, laid out amongst buzzing synths and dream-like melodies. Emotions begin to run wild alongside the playful strums of a guitar and a definite ongoing rush orchestrated by the dramatic strings at hand. An emotional downpour of brightness and fervent glee which gives way and is substituted by a sense of longing and an undeniable melancholy that settles in.

The consistency of pure quality releases is definitely on a high in the wondrous world of dance music. Always keen to review some of its most exceptional releases, shining a light on some that may have somehow got lost through the cracks. The search has led me to "Redux Recordings", a label owned and operated by none other than dance music phenomenon "Rene Ablaze". One of the newest tunes to see release on this label is "End Is Forever" by "Andy Graham". Andy has been riding the waves within the scene and slowly but steadily has been making his own mark in the proverbial sand. His new tune is one you will certainly want to obtain as it contains the right stuff to be considered a future anthem!

 Pounding basslines, turbulent synths, acid squelches, euphoric leads and vocal effects are all here. Ethereal melodies and choir segments in the break give us a sense of harmony and tranquility before giving in to the frenzy and chaos that follows! A powerful, gripping tune that will have all hands in the air when played out at any event! A huge applause goes out to Andy for the creation of this uncanny tune!

The discovery of new artists in the dance music field brings a great joy to us music fiends. As an artist times can be difficult, especially when faced with the constant struggle of breaking through and begin gaining their own following. Our duty is and should be to help push talented artists and therefore their music into the forefront of the scene. I recently had the pleasure of discovering a producer from Japan who by all means lets her passion guide her, fuel her and focuses adamantly on the perfection of her craft. She goes by the name of "KaNa" and has just unleashed a fresh E.P ("Episode 08") into the open. This E.P consists of two very special tracks: "LuMina" and "Still Light". Let's take the plunge into this wonderful new E.P shall we?

 "LuMina": A light , playful percussion opens up this tune with grace, as a tranquil atmosphere begins to form all around it as if enveloping it with a sudden warmth. Distant bird calls, gentle melodic droplets and a warm bassline, like the setting sun tie it all together beautifully. Mind pleasing melodies arise within the break of the tune as a sort of paradisial atmosphere looms all over. An evident aura of bliss, magic and inner peace can definitely be spotted here while listening to this exquisite number. 

 "Still Light": Effervescent melodies are at the core of this one while the sturdy bassline is at work, keeping things running like a fine tuned timepiece. Enthusiastic leads charge forward, sprinkled vivaciously with an assortment of bright sound effects and small choir segments. A bright, positive atmosphere is gradually created here as an imagery of golden rays of sun shining down on the barely movable surface of the serene pools of water below. Life carries on undisturbed as nature continues to prove itself as a place of solace and self discovery! Another magical tune that will continue on the spiritual healing of its predecessor! 

Dance music for your body, mind and soul. Soothing, magical beats that will extinguish any anxieties obtained during the labors of our everyday life! "KaNa" proves she deserves a place in the dance music scene that we all love and cherish. Her new E.P is evidence enough of an artist that has the gift and sheer talent of transporting you away to foreign lands with lush, serene landscapes formed by her very own mind and hands. There is such a plethora of great tunes coming out that sometimes it may be hard to keep up with them all. Amazing tracks can indeed get lost through the cracks, going unnoticed by most. It is our duty to shift through it all, bring forth and unearth these rare aural gems for your listening pleasure. One of these tracks is without a doubt the mesmerizing "Back In Time" by Slovakian artists "Miroslav Vrlik" alongside "Mark & Lukas", out now on San Francisco based music label "Soluna Music". Beautiful, heavenly beats from start to finish! It comes with some great remixes as well by some of the artists that are by all means shaking up the waters. The remix I have selected to peer into was created by a dance music couple from the UK who have seen releases and remixes on labels such as "Pure Trance" and "Avanti" among others. "Stoby & Sonia Scott" attain a rare chemistry in life which finds its way into the studio as well. Testament to this fact every tune or remix they happen to work on possesses that magic factor that separates their music from the pack.

 Our ears are instantly flooded by dark, rich hues of sound building a solid foundation to tread upon. The joyous aural flutters of sound, like a delicate butterfly with all of nature's glory embedded within,   are here as well as the female chopped vox, sending a sweet innocence down our path. Can delightful and toughness be a thing? Both coincide marvelously here, complementing on each other's differences. The original has been reborn, transformed anew via the expert hands and ears of Stoby and Sonia, delivering a dance floor slow burner, one of those tunes that will slowly and surely ignite the dance floor. One of Lithuania's most prominent figures in the wild and wonderful world of dance music is none other than Andrej Anskinas , known to most under his artist name "Anske". His talent for forging breathtaking melodies and ecstatic beats has gotten him thus far over the years. Frequently featured on world renowned artist "Markus Schulz's" "In Search Of Sunrise" yearly mixes of the iconic series ever since Markus took over the tradition and delivering an impressive array of releases on "Colharbour Recordings" and beyond there's no stopping this driven artist. Tunes such as "Blue Lagoon", "Xplorer", "Reaching Up" and "Space Howl" have all firmly cemented his reputation in the scene.

 2022 was a year of new adventures and concepts for many. The same could be said about "Anske" himself. It has been quite the year for "MIYUKI". Securing some of the coolest gigs such as her recent one at the "View Lounge L.A-Summer Edition", performing live for her ever growing list of fans, delighting our ears with her frequent "Twitch" streams with her undeniable energy and charisma as well as forging loads of eclectic tunes in her studio. A recent highlight certainly includes her recent release with fellow artist "Pablo Artigas", (their brilliant take on "Final Fantasy VI-Terra's Theme"). It went on to landing them both the 26th placement on the "Beatport Hype Trance Chart". Her latest release finds its way to beloved label "AVA Recordings", a label she seriously considers family and frequently releases on. "Would You Love Me" is her new vocal tune, which includes a special surprise for us all as she took on songwriting duties for this one as well. If you are familiar with her work, you definitely know you are in for a treat!

 Infinite amounts of energy is unleashed into the open from early on. Pumping basslines, acid lines (borrowed from the psy-trance cosmos) and female vocal one liners are displayed here in all their glory, building the tune, preparing us if you will, for the haunting vocal performance that follows. It ties in quite beautifully with the touching atmosphere found in the break of the tune which is fabricated by oh so delicate piano plucks which appear to descend like sudden tiny raindrops on a hazy day. All of this is combined brilliantly with lush strings that enhance the atmosphere to a whole other level. The well awaited build that arrives after such a tender moment, teases us with anticipation, till at last it lets it all out by use of tremendous leads sending out a torrent of emotions and openness much like a rain cloud purifying the earth below, honest and true. 

 A very personal tune from MIYUKI containing a powerful message. She certainly succeeds in transforming the deepest emotions of one's psyche into heartfelt soundscapes and euphoric beats! One of the most influential DJ's and producers out there right now is most definitely Ireland's pride and joy "Maria Healy". She attains an incredible amount of raw talent, fresh ideas and a passion that burns bright for dance music, Maria has won over the hearts of many of the trance music faithful. Over the years she has played at some of the finest events around the globe such as "Luminosity", "Liberation" and "Dreamstate" among many others. As a producer many of her productions have grasped our hearts with tracks such as "Option 66", "Kismet", "Clouds" and "Dreamer". One of her new tunes found its way to Egypt's phenomenal duo "Aly & Fila's" label "Future Sound Of Egypt" once more. "Blush" is the name and it is guaranteed to fill your soul with an endless light of hope!

Max Freegrant & Donna Marie (NZ)-Turn [Freegrant Music]

 

Another fruitful collaboration sees the light of day in the magical world of clubland. This time two unlikely dance music heroes team up for the first time to create something truly promising. One is Ukraine's "Max Freegrant" is known for a vast number of releases on labels such as "Mandarine Music", "Movement Recordings" and of course his own label "Freegrant Music". The other is New Zealand's "Donna Marie" who has been making several waves of her very own and even boasts a number of releases on labels as big as "Paul Oakenfold's" legendary "Perfecto Records". Their joint venture "Turn" is out now on "Freegrant Music", Max's home label itself.

 Tribal elements, percussion, strange audio textures and elaborate patterns quickly unfold as the pace elevates within. Exotic terrains materialize before our very eyes as we are called hither by jungle creatures, the tinkering of bells and descending water droplets. Between the aural landscapes formulated quite rapidly by the progressive vibes instilled within, we are lured further inwards by the elegant, deep, full, mesmerizing female vocals that jump out at us gracefully. This one progresses quite beautifully as leads kick in amongst the magical melodies and vocals alike. Rhythmical, majestic, exciting and adventurous all wrapped tight in one snug package! Tremendous collaboration by these two uber talents. Each artist utterly shines in his or her element. More like this please!

It is always great to see new talent with a unique approach to the genre emerge into the dance music scene. Relative newcomer "Miss Rodriguez" from Mexico, is without a doubt one of those talented individuals. Mesmerizing her audience with her previous phenomenal tune "Your Eyes" on "FSOE Parallels", the rising star is back once more with her new creation "Apollo". Out now on "FSOE Parallels", owned and operated by none other than Santos Torres, the artist known as "Monoverse".

 "Apollo" grabs your attention from the very first moment as a vibrant bassline paves the way ahead alongside an intriguing melody and a plethora of effects, including plenty of reverse fx and playful echoes. The progression of this one is undeniably surprising as the haunting, distinct female vocal gets tumbled around quite nicely, adding an extra flair to it all, while a dark, somewhat distorted wasp synth realizes its full potential, spreading several amounts of euphoria, building the hype amongst the bittersweet melodies and trance oriented leads that follow.

Solaris-Waiting For You (Thomas Datt's Heart Activation Remix) [FSOE Recordings]

 

Polish dance music producer and DJ "Thomas Datt", was a definite force in the scene that we all love. Given us two brilliant artist albums plus a vast number of singles and remixes he certainly helped shape the trance genre with his energetic fusion of sound. One day he vanished into thin air, making his departure much like a certain character found in the beloved tale by none other than J.R.R. Tolkien. The years passed and the scene changed and evolved, as it always does, much like a serpent shedding its skin and adorning a new one. 

Lo and behold Thomas made his triumphant reappearance with a new concept, remixing "Dark Matter-Dragon's Tear" which soared like a bird of prey in the dance music charts. His next audio venture led him to another remix opportunity. This one has been dubbed the "Heart Activation Remix" for "Solaris-Waiting For You". What a grand one it is and it is out now on "Future Sound Of Egypt".

 Thomas pulls out all the stops here adding his own elements to this unique tune. A delicate well balanced fusion of magnanimous melodies, chopped vox and female vocal enchanting wails as if plucked from a dream, thus forming images of lush, paradisial lands, untouched and unchanged by human hands, pure and free, blissful as can be. Female vocals appear in the midst of it all, much like an enchantress of old, luring us all along for the melodic outburst and definite ride of a lifetime. Our beloved Lithuanian producer is back with a brand new tune just in time for the season. Andrej Anskinas is the artist in question and is mostly known under his artist name "Anske". This artist is surely one to watch for as he knows very well how to continue his slow but steady ascend in the wondrous world of dance music. A regular icon in the "Coldharbour Recordings" family, it is no coincidence that he has been there every step of the way, ever since his first release for the label (the all mighty "Epika E.P" ) which landed him a place on the label. His newest tune has been dubbed "Miami Heat" and most definitely must be an ode to the city itself, summer and the label. 

 From the very beginning a sort of turbulence and rush occurs as a frenetic percussion alongside the chugging basslines shakes things up, much like a train eager to arrive at its final destination. The bottled excitement arises as the journey unfolds, scorching melodies gradually join in alongside buzzing synths, like eager locusts, providing us with a sense of adventure, prolonging the drama and anticipation while the jaw dropping leads ultimately seize control taking us all home. 

Truly a tune that instills elements of positivity, radiance and hope within each and every listener. Another sure hit for Anske!

Thomas decided it was definitely time to emerge back into the scene, leaving his musical stamp on one of the label's finest releases from the past, the incredible "Dragons Tear" by Danish DJ/Producer "Dark Matter", also known as "Dreamy Dawn". In doing so he brought forth all of his wisdom and experience that he has gained over the years, bringing forward his newly found inner peace and in turn found a way to transmit all of this into the remix you have before you. He dubbed it "Third Eye Activation Remix", a title aptly suited as you will quickly witness.

 We are instantly greeted with magical, mystifying melodies, fresh and vibrant as can be, soul cleansing if you will, as the rest of the elements get to work like a well oiled machine in the background. Acid lines and squelches make their appearance leaving an Earthly attribute as to not get carried away swiftly into the heavenly atmosphere that begins to form. Melodies loaded with an inner calmness follow as images of warm delicate sunlight pierce a quiet, sleepy forest bringing forth a sort of radiance and splendor to the landscape itself. The cheerful leads follow suit enhancing the atmosphere further adding an extra dosage of joy and an emotional "happy to be alive" element that really brings this tune to new heights.  The progressive house producer demonstrates her wondrous talent once more, bringing out all the stops on her latest musical endeavor. "Your Eyes" is filled with the right kind of ingredients to easily make it a standout tune. From the very beginning we are surrounded with an electrifying atmosphere, an elegant assortment of dark, proggy grooves to accompany it and a distinct male "deep house style" vocal performance that ties it all together quite beautifully. Thrilling, dramatic and moody at times this emotional roller coaster has something for everyone.

One of the UK's undeniable talents is ever ascending star "Dan Thompson".  Recent highlights include nabbing a spot with his dynamic tune "Airbourne", on acclaimed DJ Mix compilation series "In Search Of Sunrise", featured on the disc mixed by none other than "Markus Schulz" himself. Another is delivering a stunning remix on the legendary tune "Fixation" by "Andy Ling". Inspiration never seems to be that far away for the Englishman and he proves that statement in full by delivering a fresh single on "Coldharbour Recordings" dubbed "Deep Horizon".

 Imagine if you will a world constructed of chugging basslines and ecstatic rhythms that forever build, all the while enhanced by ethereal female vocal snippets that brighten said world every minute. This is only the tip of the iceberg as the tune in question's progression seems to be a beautiful and enchanting attempt at storytelling I daresay. Lush, exotic landscapes form before us while the internal tension and a sort of masked aggression build with every second of airplay. Pumping, "in your face" leads dominate the previously serene landscape like a downpour of rain, a tempest if you like, as a burst of energy is unleashed into the open. Siskin-Never Alone [Black Hole Recordings]

 

Over the years we have seen many artist duos making their appearance in the dance music scene. From established brand names such as "Cosmic Gate" and "Gabriel & Dresden" to relative newcomers such as "GxD" or the "Arkham Knights". On the other hand there has been a kind of shortage of female power on the front with artist duos such as "NERVO" taking the lead. 

Along to right some wrongs and in turn inspire more to do the same are female dance music duo "Siskin". This dance music outfit consists of singer/songwriter "Sue McLaren", (known for her explosive collaborations with artists such as "Aly & Fila", "Andy Moor" and "Paul Van Dyk") and producer "Suzanne Chesterton", who has had her very own fair hand of success over the years with enough singles to prove it. This relative new formed alliance has gone from strength to strength as these talented ladies have been shaking up the scene while undoubtedly leaving their proverbial footprint on the soil of dance music's core itself. "Beautiful Lie", "Villaneve" and "Electric Love" are all tunes that have been receiving a tremendous amount of love from the audience as well as some of the biggest names in clubland. Another recent highlight was their epic debut performing as "Siskin" on an all star lineup at London's iconic venue "Ministry Of Sound". The duo are on fire as of late and they are back with a tremendous new single on "Black Hole Recordings" dubbed "Never Alone".

 Ethereal melodies grab hold of the listener early on while the riveting bassline chimes in accordingly. Hypnotic female vocal segments dance freely like a welcoming breeze, all the while complementing the electrifying yet tantalizing atmosphere that begins to unfold, much like the slow gathering and formation of storm clouds on a previously clear night. Adventurous grooves with a progressive-like backdrop carry us further on through the deepest depths of our soul. An array of sad, almost melancholic melodies join us in the orchestral-like background amongst the bittersweet, ever clear vocals, beautifully laid out by Sue herself. The groove that follows after the break, substitutes the previous melodrama quite eloquently with a sheer feeling of  hope and therefore determination through an assortment of tough beats and glorious leads. 

A marvelous change of mood, emotion and feelings throughout this brilliant tune. "Siskin" have once again proven their worth, separating themselves from the flock. Unique, upfront dance music that gets your mind tingling while your feet get busy on the dance floor below!

Exclusive Interview with The WLT!

 The forever vast field of dance music is more often than most blossoming with new and diverse talent, sprouting out of the soil like the most rare and exquisite flowers. One of these emerging and exciting talents is an artist known under the riddlesque name "The WLT". Dana is a female artist from Romania, on a mission to spread the love she has for trance music with her fans through her vigorous live DJ performances at uncanny events such as Romania's leading dance music event "Untold" or via her very own string of aural delights. You may in fact already be familiar with her sound if you have heard the excellent remix she provided for none other than dance music heavyweight "Markus Schulz" and "Christina Novelli's" collaboration "Not Afraid To Fall", turning the beloved tune into an instant supercharger. Constantly striving to ascend that ever winding staircase of success she frequently finds herself at the forefront of all things dance music. Receiving infinite support by some of the industry's finest and in constant creation mode, this passionate artist has loads more tricks and surprises up her sleeves! 

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome her on to "MusicTalk15" for an exclusive in depth interview, having the opportunity to share her story with the world!

 

Question 1:

 

When did you first discover trance music and what was the key factor that got you hooked?

I discovered trance music in 2008 because of Tiesto’s music back then. It was out of this world! 

 

Question 2:

 

You have done an exquisite job on putting your touch on “Markus Schulz’s” collaboration with “Christina Novelli”- “Not Afraid To Fall”. How did that come about and would you love to put your touch on yet another track of his and if so which one would it be if you could choose?

Thank you! Well, I took a guess that Markus will want to release “Not Afraid To Fall” as a single (out of  the “Escape” album) and I thought Coldharbour might be interested and open for the idea of an uplifting remix so I asked the ques­tion if it’s possible to give it a try and so it came to life. 

Well, if I would have to choose an other song from Markus to remix, that would be his collab with "Ana Diaz - Nothing Without Me".

 

Question 3:

 

There is often confusion about your artist name and who is behind it. Could you share with us all the story behind the choice of your artist name?

Well, my artist name is "The WLT" and my real name is Dana Bordeianu, I’m from Romania. WLT (pronounced in the same way like ATB) stands for "We Love Trance" and the story of choosing this name is not complicated. I just wanted to find a name that can speak for all trance lovers, because in the end it isn’t just about myself, it’s about me and all the people out there crazy about trance music.

 

Question 4:

 

You recently hosted a contest where you had the courtesy of handing out some custom “WLT” caps. Is this the start to a new “WLT” merchandise brand and if so how did you come up with that cool idea?

Last year I also had two contests to give away a few WLT t-shirts and then after, the WLT caps contest happened. I am always trying to stay close to my followers, replying to every sin­gle message, story, comment and this was a special way to thank them with such giveaways, engaging them to just drop a comment or answer to a very simple question to win one of "The WLT" limited edition merch items. Just to see them proudly wearing one of the WLT t-shirts/caps and feel their love and support for my music, it means so much to me!

Question 5:

 

Out of all your productions so far which holds a special place in your heart amongst all others and for what reason?

At this moment, my latest new single “Waiting Here For You”, that was just released on "Find Your Harmony", is a special one to me, because it marks my first release of 2022 and the second time working with Andrew Rayel’s record label. 

 

Question 6: 

One of your recent highlights is definitely performing for Romania’s leading dance music event “Un­told”. How did the crowd respond to your performance and did this in turn bring forth many new fans for you?

Untold festival is amazing! I wasn’t expecting such a big crowd during my set and great live feedback counting the fact that I was closing the Untold Fortune stage! I’m stoked to have gained a lot of new fans and friends at Untold and the funny thing about this, was that many of them didn’t know I am from Romania and that the The WLT is actually a woman.

 

 

Question 7:

What software do you use when in the studio and which are your essential “vsts” that you frequently use in your productions?

Well, I started with Ableton and never changed that. Spire and Serum are my favorite vsts.

  

Question 8:

 

You recently had a guest mix on “Trance Energy Radio” which is based in Romania. Would you be in­terested in obtaining your very own radio show and if so what would the general concept be like?

Yes, I am one of their guests once in a few months. Of course I would love to host my very own radio show and probably the concept will be based on the same idea as I did till now with all those radio guest mixes I recorded so far. A pilot episode test run is already uploaded and available to watch on my YouTube Chanel named simply "We Love Trance 1st Edition". Oh, by the way, the second episode will follow soon.

 

Question 9:

Besides your obvious love for dance music what other interests or hobbies do you perhaps have?

I love to read, travel and I love to spend time in nature.

 

Question 10:

Producers from time to time have collaborated with fellow artists which in turn led to some marvelous tunes. Who would you like to work with if you had the chance?

There are way too many artist names on my collab wish list and I don’t know where to start from, so let’s ask the trance fans that get to read my interview here to let me know. (You can send me a private message to my FB page or my IG profile) with which trance artist(s) they would like to see me collaborate with. I promise that I’ll try to make the most realistic ones happen! 

 

Question 11:

Could you please name five tunes from past to present that are a constant must in your DJ sets?

Besides constantly showcasing some of my own music, so the exception to the rule, I don’t really use older tracks much in my sets nor do I use a certain song more than twice, because there is so much good music re­leased every month that I want to test, enjoy and play in my DJ sets.

 

Question 12:

It is great to see a plethora of artists recognizing your potential and thus featuring your tunes quite often on their radio shows. “Andrew Rayel” has done so time and time again on his “Find Your Harmony” radio show. How would you like to assume guest mix duties on his show?

Absolutely!! If Andrew would ask me to do it, I would be crazy happy about such an invitation!

 

Question 13:

Speaking of which you just had your first release on “Andrew Rayel’s” label “inHarmony Music”. The majestic “Waiting Here For You”. How has the response by the fans been so far and what other projects do you have in the works?

Yeah, like I’ve already mentioned about, “Waiting Here For You” is a special one at the moment and the feedback from the listeners was, and still is, amazing! “Waiting Here For You” is already one of the most loved, played and supported tracks of mine. Thank you all!

I’ve got a lot of new music, most of them are already signed and about to be released soon!

One of dance music's most exciting attributes is the fact that it is never stagnant. Constantly reinventing itself with new ideas. The appearance of new and promising artists who give it their all, telling their tale through the music medium is another glorious thing we love about the genre. One of these artists is an up and coming producer that goes by the name of Quincy Weigert. This talented artist has been steadily riding the wave of success over the years, as he has been frequently supported by some of the scene's finest including "Paul Oakenfold", "Markus Schulz", "Cosmic Gate", "Ferry Corsten" and many more. His new release is out now on all major dance music portals via "Nethertape Records" and it is a riveting one at that. 

 "Ad Astra" kicks things off like a locomotive in full force. Growling basslines, rhythmical percussion and a wondrous otherworldly theme is eloquently been laid out by the artist. Female vocal wails add an extra bit of flair to the emotional charged atmosphere that begins to form all around. We have had quite a number of artist duos over the long and prosperous years of clubland. Some rose to greatness but later went on their separate ways. Others followed the road ahead, despite the many hurdles and obstacles in their path. The fact remains though that quite often, mathematically speaking, two minds can be better than one.They can easily exchange ideas back and forth, while at the same time motivate each other thus keeping their musical vibe alive and well. One of these rather new founded duos are American artists "Kalbee & Raimer". These two musical prodigies have left a rather successful year behind them and what better way to demonstrate that than with a new offering to the dance music cosmos. These two have gained loads of attention from well known dance music icon "Markus Schulz", whose gift for discovering and nurturing talented artists is uncanny. He invited them to share their sound with the world more than often on his label "Coldharbour Recordings". Their new release finds them on the harbour once more, the "Coldharbour Black" imprint to be exact. Fitting place for these two as their single "Reaching" has just the right stuff to be part of the darker, techier, more sinister part of the label.

 Through the thick mist that forms from the very beginning of the track, pounding basslines and distant horns can be heard. Eerie, mysterious melodies emerge, pairing up marvelously with the distinct darkness of the main bassline, guiding us all along a treacherous journey through the deepest, unexplored chasms of the Earth. Seeing is usually the first sense but in this case, our ears play the leading role as our definite guides throughout the ongoing darkness that surrounds us all. Alert, vigilant, with an ever rising sense of adventure brooding in the very core of our soul, we charge on with faith as our protector. Shades of grey loom in from every angle while faint noises can be heard from afar. The hazy, mesmerizing melodies in the midst of the tune give us a moment of temporary clarity, right before the subterranean leads take off, with a kind of hidden wrath boiling from within. 

A tune of exceptional purpose. Dark, mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. It will definitely sit well with those craving the more furious, edgy and underground side of dance music. Well done guys!

HORIZONS-Night On Fraser Island [Landscapes Music]

 

In the final month of last year, one of dance music's upcoming and most promising labels "Landscapes Music" ushered in a final release to bid farewell to a most fruitful year music wise. This release was created by none other than the founder and owner of the label himself, Shyamol Maracci. Best known under his artist name "HORIZONS", he is an artist known for showcasing beautiful scenery and landscapes for that matter, throughout his aural productions, the artist name he chose for himself could not be more fitting. Surely one familiar with his work can recognize his expertise in all of his eclectic releases. His latest musical outing is on home label "Landscapes Music" and is dubbed "Night On Fraser Island" part of the "Australia EP".

 An air of evident mystery can be found encircling this majestic offering, as darker undertones solidify the tune's stunning presence. Ethereal melodies ascend with the highest grace from the tune's grave foundations. A perfect harmony of layers in which every element complements its siblings accordingly, thus forming a window through the sound barriers, a glimpse into an isle of infinite beauty. "Fraser Island" appears to be a truly magical place wrought with joy, heart stopping scenery and breathtaking views. The splendor of nature and the awe factor are ever so present here, demonstrated exquisitely through the artist's musical touch.

 Another beauty of a tune crafted from the "Landscapes Music's" main man. Great way to send off the year and usher in the new one full of promise and hope within one's heart!
