It is always great to discover new releases every month especially when there have been so many cool tunes already this year. One can never have enough music, being the dance music fiends that we are, we devour each amazing tune out there, eagerly awaiting the next! Here it is! 

Lithuanian artist Andrej Anskinas, widely known under his artist name "Anske", is one of those artists that continue to evolve and thrive in the scene, each tune he unleashes more beautiful than the next. He recently delighted us with the birth of a new alias he dubbed "AN93" which showcases his ties to a techier, darker side, an alter ego if you will. His previous single under this alias "Spacewarp", was greeted with much admiration when released on "Coldharbour Recordings" sub-label "Coldharbour Black". Now he is back once more on "Markus Schulz's" beloved imprint with the uber cool tune "Icrebreaker".

 High energy kicks, a hyped up percussion and a supercharged rhythm unfolds from early on. Dark grooves burst out into the open, while a semi-distorted synth takes control, engulfing it all like a dark, threatening cloud. The brief break arrives in due time, bringing with it moments of a temporary tranquility right before a rare transformation occurs. What was once peaceful and tranquil like serene, frozen waters, now becomes a tidal wave of a savage and aggressive power like the wrath of mother nature herself. The build is relentless, toying with our senses making us crave every beat while we find ourselves helplessly dancing in a feverish state!

Tunes such as "Blue Lagoon", "Xplorer", "Reaching Up" and "Space Howl" have all firmly cemented his reputation in the scene.

 2022 was a year of new adventures and concepts for many. The same could be said about "Anske" himself. His decision to explore alternative pathways in the genre has led to the birth of another alias, the intricate "AN93". Now he's back on beloved by most, sibling of iconic "Coldharbour Recordings":"Coldharbour Black", excited to showcase his new sound. His new single is called "Spacewarp" and it is a huge tune indeed!

 "Spacewarp" is a track packed with larger than life leads, pounding basslines, acid-lines, a dark, brooding atmosphere and hyper active percussion. Add to the mix some haunting sound effects, squelches, chopped vox and frantic fills, you know you are in for a treat. Darkness has never been so glorious. A surreal, out of this world tune that will definitely have you hurtling through those enigmatic wormholes of outer space at warp speed! We have had quite a number of artist duos over the long and prosperous years of clubland. Some rose to greatness but later went on their separate ways. Others followed the road ahead, despite the many hurdles and obstacles in their path. The fact remains though that quite often, mathematically speaking, two minds can be better than one.They can easily exchange ideas back and forth, while at the same time motivate each other thus keeping their musical vibe alive and well. One of these rather new founded duos are American artists "Kalbee & Raimer". These two musical prodigies have left a rather successful year behind them and what better way to demonstrate that than with a new offering to the dance music cosmos. These two have gained loads of attention from well known dance music icon "Markus Schulz", whose gift for discovering and nurturing talented artists is uncanny. He invited them to share their sound with the world more than often on his label "Coldharbour Recordings". Their new release finds them on the harbour once more, the "Coldharbour Black" imprint to be exact. Fitting place for these two as their single "Reaching" has just the right stuff to be part of the darker, techier, more sinister part of the label.

 Through the thick mist that forms from the very beginning of the track, pounding basslines and distant horns can be heard. Eerie, mysterious melodies emerge, pairing up marvelously with the distinct darkness of the main bassline, guiding us all along a treacherous journey through the deepest, unexplored chasms of the Earth. Seeing is usually the first sense but in this case, our ears play the leading role as our definite guides throughout the ongoing darkness that surrounds us all. Alert, vigilant, with an ever rising sense of adventure brooding in the very core of our soul, we charge on with faith as our protector. Shades of grey loom in from every angle while faint noises can be heard from afar. The hazy, mesmerizing melodies in the midst of the tune give us a moment of temporary clarity, right before the subterranean leads take off, with a kind of hidden wrath boiling from within. 

A tune of exceptional purpose. Dark, mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. It will definitely sit well with those craving the more furious, edgy and underground side of dance music. Well done guys!

One of the swiftest rising stars shining bright in the "Coldharbour Recordings" universe and dance music cosmos alike is without a shred of doubt Nicholas Andrew Schwab, known under his artist name "NOMADsignal". This talented artist has been on a creative frenzy these past months and releasing a multitude of musical gems as if his life depended on it. The "RBMK E.P", the "Rontgen E.P" as well as the majestic "Thorium-238" under his "Isotapes" alias were all unique and addictive as can be. His radio show "NOMADcity" has become a place where loyal fans gather to enjoy some wicked tunes selected by the man himself, while interacting with him and other music fans as well.Of course the new year had to begin with a fresh release and he emerged from the studio with the mighty "Exclusion Zone" out on the "Coldharbour Black", imprint of "Markus Schulz's" record label "Coldharbour Recordings". 

 Hard kicks and intriguing melodies shake things up quite nicely while rolling basslines emerge out of the fog and the bare essentials in percussion do their part in setting the dramatic tone. The tension and anticipation grow rapidly much like the sand quickly escapes its prison in the proverbial hourglass. Dark, ominous patterns unfold while hypnotizing and mystifying leads guide us along the long shadowy footpaths ahead of territories wild and unexplored. A sense of adventure, fright and excitement all thrown in with good measure leaving the listener craving for more. A quick descent down stone hewn spiral formed walkways of old through the treacherous darkness and mist filled lands.

 "Exclusion Zone" will dominate the hearts and minds of all during those four am sessions once clubland revives itself and begins anew. Another ecstatic tune to add to your collection!

Dustin Husain pres. DH-The Adjudicator [Coldharbour Recordings]

 

 

 

American DJ/Producer "Dustin Husain" has been on a rise in the scene over the past years. His recent body of work on labels such as "Rielism", "Flashover" and "AVA Recordings" have been catapulting him directly to the forefront on the scene itself, turning heads while doing so. Attaining support from some of the biggest stars of the scene has been acquired while Dustin continues to thrive, letting his music speak for itself. His recent ventures have lead him to new territories such as "Markus Schulz's" esteemed "Coldharbour Recordings". For this particular outing he casts away his usual formula and sound we know him for by swapping it for a new one in which he clearly showcases his niche for the darker, moodier side of things. "DH" is his alter ego in which he proves that he can play in the field with the best of them. His brainchild dubbed "The Adjudicator" finds its rightful place on "Coldharbour Black", younger sibling of the label and home for all things dark and dreary.

 "The Adjudicator" is filled with a dark, sinister atmosphere inhabited by spooky male vocal snippets, buzzing synths, widely scattered effects, eerie, spine tingling melodies and an authoritative narrative. Throbbing basslines lay at the very core of the track while each aforementioned element makes its dramatic appearance in orderly fashion thus completing the pieces of the unfinished puzzle that lays out before us. This is a track wrought from darkness which will work wonders on future dance floors during those pesky 3AM sessions.
