Mike Zaloxx & Sharon Valerona-Turn Back The Time [Suanda Music]

 

2023 seems to be a rather fruitful year for the wondrous world of dance music. So many great releases flying in from every angle it is surely quite a task to keep track of them all. I always like to take my time shifting through them and in turn highlight some of the releases that stood out, making an impact on myself and perhaps on many more dance music lovers out there!

 Relative newcomer Swiss producer "Mike Zaloxx" has certainly been making waves of his very own as of late in the scene. Incredible releases such as his riveting recent single alongside "Fawzy" on "We Are Trance" dubbed "Digital Utopia" are testaments to that fact. For his next release he teamed up once more with Dutch singer/songwriter "Sharon Valerona". Sharon has been on a literal high herself and in constant demand in the scene. She has been frequently featured while ultimately stealing the show on many vocal oriented releases on labels such as "AVA Recordings", "Raz Nitzan Music" and "Magic Island Music" among many others. Their new collaboration is aptly titled "Turn Back The Time" and is out now on Russian dance music producer "Roman Messer's" label "Suanda Music".

 The energy level in this one is one of a kind. Unleashed early on, giving us no time for rest or irrelevant excuses. No time wasted as thundering basslines and euphoric melodies are conjured up amongst chopped female vox, frantic fills and a feverish percussion. A turbulent, sizzling atmosphere is brewing, bubbling with excitement. Our senses already tingling reach a further high as Sharon's outstanding vocal performance comes into play. Emotions run amok amongst explosive beats and the meticulous melodic breakdown that follows. All that she recites manages to find its way within us all while fire infused leads take things to a whole other level. 

An anthemic vocal trance release that will get your adrenaline rushing and heart pounding with its frenetic tendencies while we recollect on our past transgressions and possible regrets.

The Boy From The Future- The Day You Will See The Light (Foxhill Remix) [Landscapes Music]

 

As spring fades away and summer approaches you may wonder if the artists affected by the change in weather increase their productivity and motivation towards the perfection of their craft. I for one believe so and this release presented here is a prime example of that fact. 

 A label that seems to value quality over quantity is without a doubt "Landscapes Music", a small but passionate label that has been certainly been shaking up things in the dance music world. Their latest release sees the re-imagining of "The Day You Will See The Light", created by mysterious artist "The Boy From The Future", an artist whose identity has steadily eluded us. For the task at hand the label was thrilled to enlist the glorious talent of "Foxhill", known for his magnanimous releases on labels such as "Solarstone's" "Pure Trance". "Foxhill" has indeed demonstrated his production abilities in re-shaping and re-forging the beloved tune.

 We instantly discover that the original elements are highlighted and complemented with loving care while incorporating a dreamy atmosphere, an almost "sundown like" essence to the main melody which is subtly complemented by the throbbing bassline and the appearance of lush pads. A calming wave of serenity and reassurance washes over us all derived from the break itself. When we emerge from the break of utter tranquility we feel revived, refreshed, renewed while carried away by the soothing progression of the leads. 

 A brilliant remix that will work wonders for one's inner peace and state of mind! Exceptional work from the one and only "Foxhill"!
